Programmes, policy andthe age of AI.

Hi! I'm Syed Fazle Farhan. I design programmes and systems that help promising ideas become viable enterprises.

I have a Masters in Economics from Queen Mary University of London and have been working in the startup ecosystem for the last few years, leading a national program for university based innovators. I'm also a huge AI geek and advocate.

Here, I write about my work, AI, development issues, global politics and anything else that interests me. Welcome to my website!

I’m interested in what makes good ideas survive contact with institutions.

My background spans economics, public policy, programme design, and startup development. I enjoy working in the space between strategy and execution—turning ambitious ideas into clear decisions, workable structures, and stronger institutions.

I am particularly interested in how Bangladesh can build better pathways for founders, researchers, and universities. This website is where I document some of that work, along with the questions and ideas I encounter along the way.

AI and Change

I wrote this a few years ago, when OpenAI first launched Sora, December 9th 2024. Wild to see how technology has progressed since then.
